flossing

Brushing your teeth is not the only way to ensure a healthy smile. Another important task you should do is floss. Just brushing your teeth alone can not guarantee that all the bacteria has been washed away. Also, flossing helps prevent cavities and bad breath, which nobody wants to have. Flossing gets rid of the left over bacteria that has managed to escape from the tooth brush. Many people claim that they do not know how to floss properly because they have never been taught. A simple solution would be to ask your dentist at your next visit for a demonstration.
When you choose not to floss, you are putting your mouth in jeopardy of suffering consequences. Brushing does not always remove plaque, which after a while hardens into tarter. The removal of tarter includes a visit to the dentist. If this is not taken care of in a timely manner gingivitis can produce. Gingivitis is the inflaming of the gums; sadly this is not the end, if not treated you can suffer from peridontal disease which can lead to the loss of your teeth.
Flossing may not seem as though it is that important, but by not flossing it is like you have only cleaned 65% of your mouth.
